La mamá de Santiago se preparó mucho para la llegada de su bebé, a sus 22 años. Trabajó en su parto, tomo cursos de preparación para el parto y uso el EPI-NO. Llegó al hospital el sábado a las 10:00pm con 4cm de dilatación y tuvo un trabajo de parto muy largo, además el bebé venía muy grande. La mamá nunca se rindió, siempre confió en su cuerpo. Los papas de Sofia vivieron en Shanghai por 9 años, ella venia de Alemania y el de México, su relación, como lo dicen ellos, ha sido “solos contra le mundo” y así fue como eligieron recibir a su bebé. La mamá de Sofia empezó con trabajo de parto 2 días antes de llegar al hospital. Varias horas de trabajo de parto y 2 noches sin dormir se tornaron en mucho cansancio, además la bebé venia grande. Una vez que llegó a 10cm de dilatación, el expulsivo fue largo y difícil. Después de muchos pujos, por fin la conocimos, a pesar de su tamaño su mamá tuvo solamente un desgarro pequeño y su recuperación ha sido asombrosa. No todos los partos son como los imaginamos, pero desde que Sofia llego al mundo, la sonrisa de sus papas, hizo que todo el esfuerzo valiera la pena. ¡Bienvenida Sofia! ¡Este bebé, casi infarta una de mis coronarias! Desde la semana 36 su mama empezó con trabajo de parto y llego a 4 cm de dilatación, la pusimos en reposo y esperamos a que llegara a termino. Con un parto previo yo solo rogaba que no arrancara en momentos de tráfico para que no naciera en el coche ????Las contracciones se calmaron y logramos que Salvador naciera 3 semanas después. Su mamá llegó al hospital con los mismos 4 cm que en menos de 2 horas se convirtieron en uno mis momentos favoritos. Entre risas, fue un parto fácil, lleno de amor incondicional y de lazos de sangre. Tengo que contarles que la mamá de este bebé es mi prima hermana, a quien adoro y agradezco profundamente por confiar en mí desde antes de que yo misma lo hiciera.¡BIENVENIDO SALVADOR! Y así… a la mitad de la pandemia, después de 28 horas de trabajo de parto llego Olivia, a las 38.1 semanas de gestación, por falta de crecimiento y por el miedo comunal a un mañana incierto en esta situación. Su mamá empezó trabajo de parto en casa a las 10:00 am, con calma, con su esposo, Luna (su perra) Horacio (su gato) y muchas expectativas. A las 7 de la noche llego al hospital, para nuestra desfortuna, tenía solo 2 cm muy resistentes. Pasaron las horas, su mamá camino, se baño, y le habló. A las 4:00am no había cambiado nada, pusimos un bloqueo para relajar la pelvis. Las nauseas, que estuvieron presentes durante todo el embarazo, empezaron a amenazar y se manifestaron en vómitos incontrolables, que a todos nos dejaban impotentes al ver tanto sufrimiento. Para las 9:00 am, ya habían 6 cm de dilatación y una gran esperanza de no darnos por vencidos, pero aún la cabeza no lograba encajarse. Decidimos romper la fuente para ayudarla. Paso el tiempo, la mamá de Olivia escucho a su cuerpo se movió de posición y poco después tuvo ganas de pujar, cuando corrí a revisarla eran 10 cm y estaba lista para nacer… sonreímos emocionados. El resto se sintió como llegar a la meta después de una subida empinada, entre pujos consientes, canciones, lagrimas y risas, llego Olivia con un parto suave. Llego a enseñarnos sobre la paciencia, que todo tiene un tiempo y un porque, así como lo que estamos viviendo. Bienvenida Olivia y bienvenidos todos estos bebés de hoy que significan esperanza, que nos regresan al amor mas sincero, al mas cercano, al mas personal, en donde no hay que ser ni aparecer para nadie por que al final del día solo SOMOS. La mamá de Emilio tuvo una cesárea previa, esta vez con mucha ilusión buscamos un parto vaginal, ella lo deseaba profundamente. En la semana 40 exactamente, inicio el trabajo de parto, todo iba avanzando bien, llegamos a 9 cm, la cabeza de Emilio estaba casi por salir, cuando de pronto inesperadamente la frecuencia cardiaca empezó a bajar, decidimos revisarla para encontrarnos la cabeza de Emilio flotando en el abdomen y sangre saliendo por vagina, inmediatamente entendimos que el útero se había roto… ¡sí roto! una complicación obstétrica grave y afortunadamente poco frecuente.Corrimos a sala y en menos de 3 min Emilio estaba fuera. En esta cesárea, no hubo música, no hubo pinzamiento tardío, lo pasamos inmediatamente al pediatra, su mamá no lo vió nacer por que el dolor que sentía era insoportable, todo fue rápido y entre miedo y estrés, todos hicimos lo posible para salvarlos. Una mañana, entraron a mi consultorio los papás de Jaime… ella con una cara de miedo, incertidumbre y asombro, él con ilusión y cara de travesura, a contarme que estaban embarazados, se casaron poco antes y este embarazo no estaba dentro de sus planes.
